Design Solution

Teatime Design creates a logo design that blends visual identity and thematic expression for HKU MMLab. The logo, which integrates the double "M" for Multimedia, stands as a powerful symbol of the lab's core focus. This design choice is both modern and functional, ensuring that the logo is easily recognisable across various platforms and materials.

Logo Composition
The logo features a bold representation of the double "M," which not only signifies multimedia but also forms a dynamic visual link to the HKU Main Building. This architectural element is a key landmark in the university, deeply rooted in its history. By incorporating these towers into the logo, the design pays homage to HKU's legacy while looking towards the future of multimedia innovation.

Colour
The choice of purple and deep blue reinforces the professionalism and creativity that HKU MMLab embodies. Purple, often associated with creativity and imagination, complements the deep blue that signifies trust and reliability. Together, these colours create a striking visual impact that resonates with both students and industry professionals.
